Your hosts, Larry and Phyllis Hanold, have operated a full service hunting business since 1986. In our 26th season, 2011, we'll be offering another year of heart pounding world-class trophy hunting. Our trophy whitetail hunting has been bow-only for many years! Back in the days before modern agricultural techniques made a shambles of the good hunting habitat....hunting in America's heartland was almost a religious experience. Not only was the game fat and plentiful, but the environment was so breathtakingly beautiful and unspoiled, most sportsmen were convinced it was the nearest thing to heaven on earth. With dad or a couple of pals at our side, we knew for certain that from virtually every row of corn, from every weedy ditch and from every patch of thicket, big bucks, or a huge gobbler, watched us with wary eyes. In those days, coming home empty-handed was a real rarity.

Hunting Unlimited is the Midwest's finest privately owned hunting area. We're dedicated to the revitalization of prime Midwestern hunting, "the way it used to be", and to the preservation of the outdoor pleasures that were once an integral part of our hunting heritage. Hunting Unlimited is located in west central Illinois where Pike, Adams, and Brown Counties converge to become the outdoor wonderland referred to as "The Golden Triangle". "Also known as "The Little Ozarks" it has variations in terrain of as much as 230 feet from ridge tops to the creeks below. This provides a natural sanctuary for wildlife that boasts some of the state's highest populations of deer and wild turkey. The varied topography of Hunting Unlimited features heavily wooded ravines and valleys, magnificent stands of oak, maple and cedar, and grassy meadows from Thoreau's idyllic Walden. Under the guidance of the Illinois Dept. of Natural Resources, HUNTING UNLIMITED has initiated a carefully constructed habitat management program by planting food crops like Milo, German millet and selected grains near natural stands of foxtail and giant blue stem. The result is the Midwest's finest wild game habitat in Illinois.

The Florida habitat for our Osceola wild turkey hunts is equally productive. Our Florida Osceola turkey hunting has consistently produced one of the highest success rates for any Osceola Turkey outfitter.
